Jamestown Visits Second Grade

In November, second graders learned about the Powhatan Indians that lived in our area long before the settlers arrived. To enrich their learning, staff from Jamestown came to the classrooms with reproduced artifacts for students to explore. Our students learned about Powhatan Indian culture, government, and how they used natural resources to produce tools, clothing, houses and food. Students were excited to get hands-on while learning!
