One day they’re walking through the doors of Yorktown Elementary for their very first year of school… and before we know it, they’ll be walking onto Bailey Field as seniors. 🥹💙

We would love for our Yorktown Kindergarten Falcons to join us on Friday, September 18 for a very special York Zone Kindergarten & Senior Spirit Handoff at Bailey Field!

This is such a meaningful York Zone tradition. Our kindergarteners will come together with the Seaford Bulldogs 🐾 and Dare Dolphins 🐬 and share the field with York High School seniors during halftime! 🏈

It’s a chance for our youngest students to see where their York Zone journey will eventually take them — and for our seniors to look back and remember where theirs began. 💙

And we’ll have something special for our little Falcons! Every kindergartner who participates will receive a spirit towel to wave proudly and help fill Bailey Field with York Zone spirit under the Friday night lights!

📣 An announcement will be made during the second quarter letting participating kindergarteners know when to meet down near the field.

Admission for everyone else is $8.

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: Bailey Field has a strict clear bag policy, so please plan accordingly when coming to the game.

Drop Off & Pick Up Changes

Please read this information carefully. Last school year, we made several adjustments to our arrival and dismissal procedures, and we will continue refining them this year in partnership with the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office. Our goal is to safely get the greatest number of students to and from school in the shortest amount of time. 

One of our biggest challenges is ensuring school buses can enter and exit campus on time. Each bus carries 60–70 students, and when buses are delayed by parent traffic, dozens of students arrive late to school or home later than expected. Keeping Siege Lane clear helps all of our students.
